Walthamstow Stadium facade

£120.00

From the series 'Going to the Dogs', for which Katherine spent 3 months documenting the closure of Walthamstow Greyhound Stadium. Walthamstow Stadium was the best known and loved of all the UK greyhound tracks, it employed over 500 people and it's sorely missed. It was bought by a housing association and closed in 2008 and is currently standing disused and empty.

The famous 'Walthamstow Stadium' sign seen in the daytime. The listed frontage can be seen for miles around and has been a local landmark since 1933. It is hoped this will be preserved even when L&Q build tower blocks behind it.

This is a Archival inkjet print in an edition of 30. Each print is signed and dated on the back, and will be packed carefully in a cardboard tube.

There are two sizes available, either 18 x 12" or 12 x 8" or 30 x 20"
